Tin & Tina 2023 - Watch Free Latest Movie On Yesmovies
Tin & Tina Yesmovies (Tin & Tina) is a psychological horror film directed by Rubin Stein, who also serves as the film's screenwriter. It is based on a 2013 short film of the same name and stars Milena Smit and Jaime Llorente alongside Carlos González Morolán and Anastasia Russo. The film runs for 120 minutes.
Tin and Tina follow Lola and Adolfo who, after suffering a life-changing miscarriage, decide to adopt two children whose overly religious upbringing begins to become a problem in their daily lives. As time goes on, things start to get downright dangerous for the couple, especially Lola, who is left shocked by her children's oddities.
Tin and Tina is one of those downright uncomfortable movies to watch, but from the outset, it feels like the kind of movie we've seen before. It will definitely remind you of the old movies that have left a huge impact on cinema. It's Midsomer, Goodnight Mommy, and The Shining, and then some. But more than a horror, it is a drama about relationships and the burden of motherhood on women.
The film, set in Spain in the 1980s, is interesting in many parts, but too fictional to make the whole journey entertaining. It's moments like these that really make you understand Lola's fears that grab our attention: We're shocked and scared for her mental and physical well-being. The trouble she gets into every day is nothing short of horrifying, and the fact that Adolfo is an absolutely terrible husband and father doesn't help it.
Their interpersonal conflicts continue to haunt Tin and Tina. It is a great film as a drama and at times it even makes you emotional with certain moments involving the twins. But once again, the psychological thriller aspect seems a bit much. He's also a bit comical at certain points, which takes you out of the experience and makes the whole thing horrifying.
However, it's clear that Stein put her heart and soul into her first feature film. It looks and feels good, and there's definitely an air of uncertainty and suspense in every frame. Regardless of whether or not the twins are there, you can't help but feel stressed and wonder if they're really to blame. We never really get any answers because in the end you will be left questioning the truth and hence it will make you uncomfortable and confused. Also, the background score is really cool and fits the theme very well.
Religion plays a big role in the film, and politics is mixed in as well, but I didn't see the effect until the end. Sure, religion is used as a mystical decoy, but it's not religion so much as two brainwashed kids and a frustrated wife and mother that are the main issues here. The film would have been much better without the Bible verses or sporadic mentions of politics; It would have had the same effect, but maybe two kids drowning you out repeating Bible verses is more terrifying.
Milena Smit and Jaime Llorente are great in the film, as are Carlos Gonzalez Morolón and Anastasia Russo as twins Tin and Tina. Smit, in particular, is terrific, bringing out the anger, resentment, fear, frustration, and joy that his character goes through without a hitch. Her chemistry with Lorente is also natural and works well. Meanwhile, Murlon and Russo play the perfect creepy twins that might just take you back to The Shining.
